Exhibition | THE OVERVIEW EFFECT | Lisbon
From October 11th to 14th, 2021, SUSPENSO hosted THE OVERVIEW EFFECT, exhibiting a selection of internationally renowned artists and designers unique to Lisbon.
Vincent Chicha, Sophie Civet Burrus, Michael Wagner and Georges Zorgbibe came together to make this mythical place shine through their common passions: art, design, sharing and celebration.
This exhibition was an opportunity to introduce contemporary art (paintings, sculptures, digital art, high quality decorative pieces, etc.) to amateurs and the curious for free.
In order for the little artists to stimulate their creativity, the children were able to participate in art workshops.

THE OVERVIEW EFFECT
The overview effect is a cognitive shift in awareness reported by some astronauts during spaceflight, often while viewing the Earth from outer space.
It is the experience of seeing firsthand the reality of the Earth in space, which is immediately understood to be a tiny, fragile ball of life, "hanging in the void", shielded and nourished by a paper-thin atmosphere. From space, national boundaries vanish, the conflicts that divide people become less important, and the need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this "pale blue dot" becomes both obvious and imperative.
